A Vigil for all Nascent Human Life - Saturday, Nov. 27th, 12:00 PM

On Saturday, November 27th at Saint Peter's Basilica, Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate a "Vigil for all Nascent Human Life" coinciding with first vespers of the First Sunday of Advent. The Holy Father has requested that "all Diocesan Bishops of every particular church preside in analogous celebrations involving the faithful in their respective parishes, religious communities, associations and movements."

Because we have two Masses on Saturday evenings, I propose the following observance of the Pope's special request for our parish:

On November 27th, we will observe this special vigil for all nascent human life with a Holy Hour. This Holy Hour will take place from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM in the Upper Church.

Please mark this date and plan to spend some time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament to join with the Pope and Catholics throughout the world, in prayer for all human life.

Thank you for your anticipated participation in this spcial request from our Holy Father.
