Call to Action for LIFE

Dear Friend of Life,

As you know, local abortion advocates are using the media frenzy surrounding the leaked Supreme Court decision to push their agenda for taxpayer funding for abortion-on-demand here in Rhode Island

We need to take action NOW

WRITE FOR LIFE

Identical bills filed in the RI Senate (S2549 by Valverde et al) and in the RI House (H7500 by Cassar et al) will allocate your state tax dollars to pay for other peoples' abortions through the state-administered Medicaid program and through the state employees health insurance program.

We have a very narrow window of opportunity to defeat these bills. We have an immediate and urgent need for very short letters to the editor in local newspapers throughout the state:

  • Perhaps you simply want to tell the Governor and your local lawmakers to use your taxes to fix the roads rather than killing babies, for example.

  • Or no matter how many times the Planned Parenthood extremists shout otherwise, abortion is not now and never will be health care because killing is not healing. You and I should not be forced to pay for the killing of preborn babies with our tax dollars.

  • Be creative and speak from your heart.

  • How to send your letter: below is a list of Rhode Island newspaper publications along with the email address for submissions. You should list your name and town of residence along with your letter. Note that some letters you can email directly to the editor, others require you copy and paste your letter and contact info into an online submission form.

ACTION ALERT

Please email the Rhode Island Governor today on taxpayer-funded abortion

According to the Providence Journal (5/5/22, page 7A), Rhode Island's Office of Management and Budget produced an analysis on March 24, the key finding of which is that the state of Rhode Island could potentially save $5.4 million a year in taxpayer dollars if we allow state taxpayer dollars to pay for the killing of preborn babies in abortion rather than delivering these same babies.
