We had another wonderful Christmas Mass for the families in our Autism Program and once again were able to witness the beautiful expressions on the children’s faces as they experienced Jesus in a very special way. The Mass included decorating a Christmas tree, followed by a gathering with cookie decorating, snacks and mingling for parents and teachers.
A sincere thank you, on behalf of your St. Peter’s parish family, to all the parents for the beautiful example of dedication and love you show for your children as you continue to guide them and live out the real meaning of Christmas. And thank you teachers, staff and especially Fr. Gagné for the sacrifices that are continually being made in order to make this priceless Faith Formation program possible.

“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
~ Matthew 25:40

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament & Parish Penance Service
December 19th, 6:30-7:30PM
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Confession is an act of honesty and courage – an act of entrusting ourselves, beyond sin, to the mercy of a loving and forgiving God.”
~Pope John Paul II
“Confession heals, confession justifies, confession grants pardon of sin, all hope consists in confession; in confession there is a chance for mercy.”
~St. Isidore of Seville
“In the life of the body a man is sometimes sick, and unless he takes medicine, he will die. Even so in the spiritual life a man is sick on account of sin. For that reason he needs medicine so that he may be restored to health; and this grace is bestowed in the Sacrament of Penance.”
~St. Thomas Aquinas
December 8th is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of obligation. Mass times are 7:00am, 10:00am (school Mass), & 6:15pm
“God freely chose Mary from all eternity to be the Mother of his Son. In order to carry out her mission she herself was conceived immaculate. This means that, thanks to the grace of God and in anticipation of the merits of Jesus Christ, Mary was preserved from original sin from the first instant of her conception.”
The St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Peter’s Parish is sponsoring “The Giving Tree.” This is an opportunity for the entire St. Peter’s Parish Family to help by sharing their gifts from God with others.
Barren Branches will be set up in the upper and lower Church, decorated with tags. The tags reflect a gift request of a clothing or toy item. Each tag includes the age, gender and size if applicable. Parishioners are asked to select as many tags as they would like. Purchase the item or items, wrap and place, with the tag attached, under the tree prior to December 14th.
